James Loudspeaker Trip

Want to take a motorcycle trip to Napa for a James Loudspeaker tour and grab some lunch at the country club?

Ummm, let me think... YES!

I love riding motorcycles.

I love speakers and high end electronics.

I love food at nice restaurants!

Ron Buzzard, Steve Baker and I had the opportunity to meet up with James Loudspeaker at their main office in Napa to check out what they are up to and to see if they might be a fit for our future custom projects.

I have to say that the people at James Loudspeaker are some of the most down to earth and likeable people I've met in our industry in a long time. They have a philosophy similar to mine in which its not all about "product pushing". They position themselves as a friend, advisor and unique solution provider.

James Loudspeaker still has that "small business feel" I've come to appreciate, having to deal with so many vendors these days.

I know I could pick up the phone and reach a "human being" at James. I hate all that other BS you come across when dealing with larger companies.

James Loudspeaker has some of the most innovative solutions for discerning clients, designers and builders.

They will custom build anything for you if you are a dealer of theirs. When we first got there Mike Park was fiddling with new speaker designs and small footprint, high quality in-ceiling speakers.

Its obvious he absolutely loves what he does. I enjoy being around people like this.

The world needs more people that have "come alive" in what they do an are passionate about their work. I think its important to find what you love and what makes you "come alive"... and pursue that.

James Loudspeaker also has the best looking and more importantly... best sounding outdoor speaker system I've ever seen or heard. It knocked my socks off. They have hidden subwoofer systems, planter systems, high quality speaker surrounds etc...

I want their outdoor system!

After we finished the tour, Mike Park loaded us up in his Rolls Royce and took us over to the country club for a delicious lunch and great conversation.

Here's Steve leaving with a happy tummy!

The president, Mark Schafle also joined and told us plenty of stories of what its like to be a father of four daughters! Poor guy! (Just kidding Mark... seriously though, that's alotta estrogen)!

All in all, it was a very worthwhile trip. I look forward to specifying James Loudspeaker for future projects.
